General Questions

1. How do I get to and from the Airport?

Free transportation on shuttle buses is provided to and from the airport. Please allow 5-15 minutes for check-in and transportation to your terminal. Upon your return, there are courtesy phones in the baggage area, or a phone number on your claim check to call for pick-up. At larger airports, shuttle buses constantly circle the airport. At a few airports you will be taken to the airport in your own car and returned via shuttle bus.

2. What Happens If My Bid Price Is Accepted?

If your bid price is accepted then congratulations, the next steps are very easy but also very important in order for you to maintain your price.

  • You will have a 10-minute window in order to fill out your registration form and payment. It won't take that much time.
  • If you are a returning customer, it may not even take 10 seconds.
  • If you fail to complete a winning bid reservation within the 10 minutes you will not be able to make the same bid or lower for the next 24 hours unless you change any of the following, parking type, check in or check out dates.

3. What Happens If My Bid Price Is NOT Accepted?

Try try again. You can bid as many times as like until you lock in a winning bid.

We take your bid and all price data we have in your selected area and a message will then pop up letting you know how close you are to a winning bid.

4. Why 10 minutes?

If you do not complete your forms in 10 minutes then your bid price will be lost and you wont have another opportunity at that same price for 24 hours using the same airport, parking type, check in and check out dates.

The reason why the system works in this manor is our parking lot partners only have limited number spaces each day. These spaces are made available to you the customer to bid special rates and considering the high demand for this service and to be absolutely fair to all involved, if you don't act on your own price others will be next in line and the limited spaces will be gone.

5. How and when do I pay?

You pay the equivalent of the one-day's parking fee and a small service fee online, you will receive credit for this online deposit when you arrive at your airport parking lot where you will then have to pay the remaining amount due at the lot to complete payment. You must show your printed receipt to the vendor to receive credit for your online. Our parking affiliates accept cash and all major credit cards.

6. What happens after I click "Book Reservation"?

  • Parking lot arrival and return dates and times.
  • Your name and the name of the person parking (if different).
  • Your price and parking rate, taxes and fees, deposit credit and "Due at Lot" balance.
  • Arrival and transportation information.

You will be asked to present the parking lot with a copy of your receipt along with one form of personal identification to validate the offer and receive credit for one paid day, Note that the service fee is not refunded to you by the parking lot. In order to ensure credit of your online payment make sure to bring your online receipt with you, online payment will not be refunded at a later date. Operators

1. I'm own/operate a parking facility and I had my customers rate me from our office computer; why did their ratings get deleted?

Our systems are set up to delete multiple entries coming from the same computer. Please ask your customers to rate you from their own home computers to avoid this.

2. I have not officially partnered with SmartAirprotParking.com, what if I see an error with a my parking facility listing, like if my name is spelled wrong or even the location or prices are incorrect?

On the “parking lot info” popup page you will see a button labeled “Make Corrections”, click on it and tell us what’s wrong.

3. What if I see a review that I think should be deleted? I know you said you review all ratings, but what if you miss one that is not ok?

You are right - every now and then an inappropriate rating gets by us the first time. Next to each review there is a “flag it” link. When you click on it the rating is sent back to us to review again. If it should not have been accepted, we will remove it. If the rating is OK, we just approve it again.

4. I'm own or operate a parking facility listed on your site and some of my ratings were deleted; how come?

We delete reviews/ratings for a number of reasons, but it usually boils down to one of our automated spam filters thinking there were multiple ratings coming from the same person. When we detect this, our system will usually automatically delete the duplicate ratings.

5. I'm own/operate a parking facility listed on your site. How do I get my name removed from your site?

If it's a valid listing, it will not be removed.

6. Can I display your ratings on my own website?

Probably yes. Please go to your listing page and click the "Docs, add these ratings to your website" link, below the ratings.

7. How do I get certain reviews removed from your website?

We normally do not remove reviews/ratings. This site is for people to report on their experiences with you and your parking facility. People rate you every day in their conversations and referrals, whether or not you are listed here. Think of this site as an opportunity to take a peek into those into the conversations people are already having about your company. It’s a way for you to continue doing what people love about you and to correct what they dislike. If you are convinced you have been libeled, you might ask an attorney about filing a Doe subpoena.

8. But one of these ratings is false and itís hurting my business! I want to send you a letter demanding that it be removed or that we be removed from your compare/reserve/review site.

We do not accept demand letters because it is not our role to determine whether a review is true or false. You might dispute the truth of a review, but your disputing it does not make it false. Why should we believe you over the reviewer? Still, we believe your voice should be heard, so you are always free to post a public response to any review on this site.

9.  If you wonít accept a demand letter, I have no choice but to sue you!

Think again. The Communications Decency Act (the “CDA”) is a complete bar to our liability for the statements of others on this website: "No provider or user of an interactive computer service shall be treated as the publisher or speaker of any information provided by another information content provider." 47 U.S.C. § 230. Federal courts have applied this standard on its terms: "By its plain language, Section 230 creates a federal immunity to any cause of action that would make service providers liable for information originating with a third-party user of the service." Zeran v. AOL, 129 F.3d 327, 330 (4th Cir. 1997). The ratings and reviews on this site are written by our users, not by our company. Thus, under the CDA, we are not the "publisher or speaker" of the ratings, even if they contain false information and we are not liable for defamation, libel, fraud or any other tort claim you might bring.

10. Iím going to sue you anyway. Taking down the review is cheaper than if SmartAirportParking.com had to pay a lawyer.

Sounds like a Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation (SLAPP)! Twenty-eight states have passed strict anti-SLAPP laws; authorizing expedited motions to dismiss and giving rise to counterclaims seeking attorneys’ fees and liquidated damages. If you want to drag us into court, bring your checkbook with you, because you’ll be paying our attorneys to defend us.
